A volunteer search party for 31-year-old Wahbinmigisi "Pennie" Roberston, who was last seen Friday, May 24, on Mahnomen Road on the Fond du Lac Reservation, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Volunteers should meet in the parking lot of the Brookston Community Center at 8200 Belich St., Cloquet. Anybody can join the search, said Salina Mattinas, Robertson's cousin. She advises people to come prepared to look in wooded and swamp areas surrounding the area Robertson was last seen.

"We just want them to dress appropriately," Mattinas said. "And we want to be able to see everybody."

So volunteers should wear boots and bright colors. They should also bring water canteens, snacks and rain jackets. Some volunteers will be needed for door-knocking.

"If people have ATVs, that would cover more ground," said sister, Summer Robertson.

Local jurisdiction is not involved in the planning of this search. Those organizing the search are seeking leader support and people who have previously participated in a search and rescue.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office issued a news release Friday morning stating it is assisting the Fond du Lac Police Department in the search for Pennie Robertson.

Pennie Robertson is originally from Hinckley, but was living on the Fond du Lac Reservation before she went missing.

A Go Fund Me page was launched to help cover search expenses such as travelling, food and hotels for out-of-town family and friends.

Anyone with any information on Robertson's whereabouts should call 911 or the Sheriff's Office Investigations Division in Duluth at 218-336-4350.
