The Cloquet Food Service Department will provide nutritious, free lunch this summer to Cloquet children who may not otherwise have access to healthy food when school is out.

Starting June 10, Cloquet High School will provide open lunch Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon to all children and will continue through Aug. 15.

Children age 18 and younger may receive free lunch. Lunches are also available to people with disabilities over age 18 who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically disabled.

The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that children in low-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations, when they don’t have access to school lunch or breakfast.
