Does your favorite canine need a little help learning to sit, stay, and heel?

The Carlton County 4-H Program is offering dog obedience training designed for youth who have completed grade 3 and above.

There will be an orientation session for youth and parents/guardians at 6:30 p.m.Tuesday, June 3, at the Carlton County Extension Office, 317 Chestnut Ave., Carlton, where you can come and learn about the 4-H dog training project. Canines are not allowed to attend the orientation session.

Training with dogs starts on Tuesday, June 17, at 6:15 p.m. in the arena of the Four Seasons Sports Complex in Carlton. The training sessions will run seven weeks with the last class on Tuesday, July 29.

All dogs must be current on vaccinations.
