Does your favorite canine need a little help learning to sit, stay and heel? The Carlton County 4-H Program is offering dog obedience training especially designed for youth who have completed grade 3 and above.
There will be a very important dog training orientation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Carlton County Extension Office, 317 Chestnut Ave., Carlton. Youth and parents/guardians should plan to attend to learn about the 4-H dog training project. Canines are not allowed to attend the orientation session.
Training sessions will start at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Four Seasons Sports Complex in Carlton and will run for 11 weeks. All dogs must be current on vaccinations and there is a small fee for renting the facility.
Call the 4-H program coordinator at the Carlton County Extension Office at 218-384-3511 for more information and to register for the program.
