The Cloquet Police Department, City of Cloquet, Carlton County, Carlton County Sheriff's Office and Northern Lakes Rescue are teaming up to offer free pet microchipping for dogs and cats of Carlton County residents on June 27.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Cloquet, with pets treated on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Those seeking free microchipping must provide proof of Carlton County residence through a valid photo ID. Cost for non-residents is $20 per pet, and services are limited to three pets per household.
Other low-cost pet care options will also be available, including nail trims and vaccinations, with Oasis Del Norte Food Truck providing food for the event.
Those planning to have their pets microchipped are asked to fill out a registration form prior to attending.
