A talented group of local musicians led by Gretchen Chelseth and Dr. Dan Palmquist, both of Cloquet, provided an evening of beautiful music at Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet on June 16.
The event was the second in a series of concerts inspired by the musicians' love of performing and sharing their music with the community. The performance included a variety of classical, jazz and show tunes.
Performers on hand included Chelseth, Kevin Hamre and Tom Chepokas on piano; Palmquist on trombone; Ben Holtz on cello; and the vocals of mezzo soprano Gail Hamre.
"We were delighted at the turnout for the show," Chelseth said. "Our group is very informal and we do this to share our love of music."
