CBS's "The Price Is Right" will conduct a national contestant search on Sunday, Aug. 22, at Black Bear Casino Resort, 1785 Highway 210, Carlton, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., according to Brien Kennedy, WCCO TV vice president and general manager.

Contestant hopefuls will be interviewed and two lucky local participants will be selected to fly out to Los Angeles for a taping of the legendary game show sometime between October and December 2010.

A bidder's spot on Contestants' Row will be guaranteed to one of the two participants, who will learn if they are selected to "come on down" when they hear their name called during the show's taping. Bidders then compete for the chance to play a pricing game on stage and spin the big wheel for a spot in the "showcase showdown."

The event is part of a nationwide contestant search, also taking place in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, San Francisco and Denver.

All entrants must be legal U.S. residents, age 18 and over. Official rules can be found on www.wcco.com , and upcoming schedules will be posted at www.cbs.com .
