Together Again in 2010!
I remember looking back as a child the excitement of the Carlton County Fair coming again soon... As a child, soon was not fast enough... Here I am as an adult now, waiting anxiously for the Carlton County Fair... finding that it is coming fast enough, Aug. 19-22.
We have many exciting things going on down here at the fairgrounds again this year. By popular demand we have the Zerebko Petting Zoo. We also have the "Dweebs" performing under the Hartman Pavilion on Friday at 6:30 p.m. There will be some new attractions and booths to look at. Of course we have our Auto Races and Demo Derby. Thursday night we will have an Amateur Tractor and Truck Pull which should be very fun. Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. will be our 120th Horse Show Races! We will have the Stipe Show Rides again with wristbands Friday, Aug. 20, and Sunday, Aug. 22, and the early-bird specials for rides on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
I am also very excited for all the events going on down here July 16, 17 and 18. We have our first Minnesota Bluegrass Festival, sure to be a good old-fashioned time. Bring your lawn chairs and relax while you listen to some great bands. Then July 30, 31 and Aug.1 we have the Minnesota Trappers Convention.
