We're hearing that the Tri-Community Food Shelf in Cromwell has that classic problem: They've got peanut butter in the cupboard but no jelly in the fridge.

"They get an abundance of peanut butter, but no jam or jelly to round out the PBJ," says Dorine Houck, executive director of the United Way of Carlton County.

The United Way has taken up the task of balancing out the equation. If you'd like to share a jar, bring it to the United Way office at 202 Ave. C in Cloquet. Sorry, they can't accept homemade.
