This is one of many signs that popped up around Cloquet and Esko over the summer. Owners desperate to find a beloved lost pet do not have many options in the area. Signs have been placed in local stores as well as in yards around town. Lila Hansmeyer's dog went missing the weekend of June 29. The 9 year old small dog snuck out while she was being watched by someone else in Cloquet and is still missing. They have had almost a dozen calls since the dog went missing. Hansmeyer was advised to not give the dogs name so people would not call it and scare her if they saw her. Hansmeyer, and Esko resident, has been amazed how many people helped look for her dog. "I am amazed and humbled how many people help look for others lost pets," Hansmeyer said. She recommends people take a photo of the animal if they think they see a lost pet. When they got a tip they raced the 10 miles to Cloquet and the dog would be gone already. Their cat named Angel disappeard from their home in Esko and is still missing also. Signs are hanging in stores in Esko. Jamie Lund/Pine Journal
