TRANSPORTATION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND ON THE INTENT TO ISSUE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS BY CARLTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA,
UNDER MINNESOTA
STATUTES, SECTION 373.40
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Carlton County, Minnesota, will conduct public hearings on Monday, January 27, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. in the Carlton County Transportation Building located at 1630 County Road 61 in Carlton, Minnesota, to provide an opportunity for the public to express their views concerning (i) the County's Transportation Capital Improvement Plan for the years 2020 through 2024; and (ii) the County's intent to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $10,000,000 (the "Bonds"), pursuant to the Capital Improvement Plan to be approved by the County Commissioners.
The proceeds of the Bonds shall be used by the County to construct the following improvements, and to pay costs of issuance of and capitalized interest, if any, on the Bonds:
• An approximately 50,050 square-foot expansion to the existing County maintenance facility building located in Barnum, Minnesota.
The Bonds and the interest thereon shall constitute general obligations of the County secured by the full faith and credit of the County. All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above.
