The Board of Education of Independent School District 93, Carlton, Minnesota, met through interactive technology and remotely on Monday, April 19, 2021. Emerson called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. The meeting continued with the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present: Emerson, Gustafson, Hagenah, Karp, Ojibway, Szymczak, with Superintendent Engstrom.
MOTION by Hagenah to approve the meeting agenda was supported by Szymczak.* MOTION passes with an affirmative vote of 6-0.No Carlton High School Student Presentation was given.Tess Puidokas gave a STEM Update.
LIEC Representatives Deb Northrup Chair and Jennifer Murray Vice Chair, Presenting their Annual Compliance – was cancelled and will be given at another Board meeting.
No public comments were taken.
Congratulations and Commendations and were given.
Reports were given by PK-12 Principal Benjamin Midge, Community Education Director Daisy Rose, American Indian Education Coordinator Kevin Kot, Business Manager Norman Nelis, Superintendent John Engstrom. Board Committee Reports were given.

MOTION by Gustafson to approve the Consent Agenda*
Approve March payroll for a total of $368,423.22 and wires summative at $114,862.23. Approve the March finance checks in the amount of $169,109.22. Approve the Minutes, March 15, 2021 School Board Meeting. Approve the Minutes, April 12, 2021 Committee of the Whole Meeting. Approve the resolution for Northern Lights Special Education Membership Renewal-Purchase of Service Agreement 2021-2022.

MOTION by Gustafson to approve the pay change to correct the January 19, 2021 minutes for Matthew Hey who was inadvertently hired as Girls' Basketball Assistant Coach with a one-time payment of $1,148.00, he should have been assigned as Girls' Basketball Junior Varsity Coach with a one-time payment of $3,802.00 instead was supported by Hagenah.* MOTION passes with an affirmative vote of 6-0.

MOTION by Ojibway to approve the resolution for the Community Survey Proposal was supported by Gustafson. A roll call vote was called. Emerson-yea, Gustafson-yea, Hagenah-yea, Karp-yea, Ojibway-yea, Szymczak-yea. MOTION passed 6-0.
MOTION by Ojibway to approve the following Spring 2021 Coaches per Schedule C of the CEA Master Contract:
Brenda Knudsen as Volunteer Assistant JH Track Coach.
Colton Godbout as Volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach.
Peyton Schmidt as Assistant Baseball Coach, paid $1,952.00 in one payment upon completion of the assignment, approximately May 31, 2021.
MOTION was supported by Gustafson.* MOTION passes with an affirmative vote of 6-0.
Ojibway made a motion to adjourn at 8:30 p.m. and there being no further business with a second from Hagenah the meeting adjourned by unanimous affirmative vote.*
