Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet is hosting a book launch event with local author Thomas Peacock on Thursday, April 25, at 4 p.m. in the amphitheater and commons.

Peacock will present and sign his new children’s book, “The Forever Sky.” The event is free and open to the public.

“The Forever Sky” is a story about two Ojibwe boys who miss their “Nooko” (after Nookomis, grandmother). The story is about the Ojibwe sky, grieving and the afterlife.

Peacock is a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior (Anishinaabe Ojibwe) and resides in Duluth. Several of his books, including “Ojibwe Waasa Inaabida” and “The Good Path,” are Minnesota Book Award winners.
