The Carlton County Historical Society will debut an exhibit by Wrenshall native Clayton Johnson on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Historic Shaw Memorial Library, 406 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet.

The exhibit features wood carvings, including a scale model of the 17th century warship Vasa, which has been displayed at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis and at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Paul.

The reception begins at 1 p.m. Admission is $3 for ages 12 and older, $1 for ages 5-11 and free for ages 4 and under and CHHS members.

The exhibit was made possible by a grant from the United Way of Carlton County.
