The Thomson Township will receive sealed bids at the Thomson Town Hall, located at 25 E Harney Rd, Esko, Minnesota 55733-0092 for the construction of Harney Rd Paving until 10:00 am, June 4, 2019. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

The work for which bids are asked includes the following: This work consists of bituminous paving of one-half (1/2) mile of Harney Rd in Thomson Township from the existing pavement of the intersection with Church Rd to the intersection of Marks Rd. A bid alternate is also included to continue bituminous paving for and additional one-half (1/2) mile from Marks Rd to Erickson Rd. Thomson Township has a budget for the project and will adjust the project to fit the budget based on the actual bids received.

The anticipated substantial completion date is September 13, 2019 and final completion date is October 4, 2019.

No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
