Following unanimous approval from the Cloquet City Council on Tuesday, June 15, the Carlton County Labor Day Celebration has officially been set for Monday, Sept. 6.
The current itinerary for the day includes a parade, car show, carnival and picnic, with the bulk of the events taking place at Veterans Memorial Park in Cloquet.
While Carlton County Labor Day Celebration President Chad Tuura said he is anticipating a smaller celebration than normal, he says the event is definitely happening.
Due to Cloquet city officials waiving the park fee, as well as donations from local unions, employers and groups, the event will be free for the public to attend.
