Free Thanksgiving meals available through Carlton County DAV, Auxiliary

Free Thanksgiving meals will be provided to Carlton County community members regardless of military service on Thursday, Nov. 25, through the Carlton County DAV and Auxiliary.

The Carlton County Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Auxiliary will host its fifth-annual Thanksgiving Meal event on Thursday, Nov. 25, with free Thanksgiving meals available for members of the Carlton County community regardless of military service.

The Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post #3979 in Cloquet will host the event with curbside pickup, sit-down and delivery service available for all who are interested. Curbside pickup and sit-down service will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while delivery will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Orders for curbside and delivery must be placed no later than Tuesday, Nov. 23, by calling Zion Lutheran Church at 218-879-4647. Those interested in volunteering can contact Zion Lutheran Church, as well.

Donations to the Chapter 18 Carlton County DAV will be accepted on site at the VFW Post #3979.
