One of Cloquet's largest crowd-drawing events, the free Wood City Music Festival will return to Veterans Memorial Park with a full lineup of Christian artists Saturday, Aug. 10.

The sixth annual Christian music festival, hosted by Kingdom Builders Ministries, will kick off at 10:45 a.m. and feature 14 artists from all over the U.S. Festival goers are welcome to bring coolers of snacks and nonalcoholic beverages.

A play area will entertain kids with games, knocker ball and more from the festival start time to about 5 p.m.

"The kids play all day long and they're always angry when we close it," Lee Harris, president of the ministry, said.

Sean Feucht of Bethel Music will perform a concert at 7 p.m. the night before the festival at Common Ground Coffee Bar and Deli, 103 Avenue C. An 11 a.m. church service Sunday, Aug. 11, in the park will cap off the festivities for the weekend.

The festival draws 6,000-8,000 attendants each year, mostly from neighboring states and Canada. The festival costs $75,000 to put on and is funded through donations.
