Community Education Corner: Moose Lake after school program celebrates 20 years

"Since 2001, we’ve been providing students in grades 2-6 with a safe, fun and educational after-school program. We’ve offered every class imaginable from making cribbage boards to snowshoeing to robotics and we’re still going strong," writes Vicki Radzak.

MOOSE LAKE — We’re reflecting and celebrating the accomplishment of offering over two decades of our KIDS Plus After-School Enrichment Program here in Moose Lake.

Since 2001, we’ve been providing students in grades 2-6 with a safe, fun and educational after-school program. We’ve offered every class imaginable from making cribbage boards to snowshoeing to robotics and we’re still going strong thanks to the generous support from the Northland Foundation and the community members who volunteer to teach our enrichment classes.

We’re always looking for experienced hobbyists. If you’d like to volunteer one hour a week for a month or so, contact us in the Moose Lake Community Education office: 218-485-4435 or email rebecca.young@isd97.org.

"Community Education Corner," published weekly in the Pine Journal, features news from Community Education programs in Carlton County. Vicki Radzak is the Community Education Director for Moose Lake Community School.
