Christmas in July Carnival & Rummage Sale, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Reliable Insurance Agency, 803 Carlton Ave., Cloquet. Reliable Insurance Agency is hosting the event to raise money for the Best Christmas Ever program. It features a rummage sale, craft vendors, carnival games, face painting, refreshments and a dunk tank. Attendees will also get the chance to have their photo taken with Santa.

Minnesota Timber Wolves Campfire program, 8-8:30 p.m., Jay Cooke State Park. Thomson Pioneer Cemetery Tour, 9-10 a.m., cemetery parking lot. The public is invited to learn more about the history of the people buried at the cemetery inside Jay Cooke State Park. Coney and brat cookout fundraiser, 4-7 p.m., Cloquet VFW Parking Lot. The American Legion Auxiliary is hosting the cookout fundraiser. Refreshments are available ala carte with all proceeds going to support local veterans. Coneys are $3 each; brats, $4; hot dogs, $2; and French fries, $2. The cost includes dessert with every purchase.

Carlton County Garden Tour, 4-7 p.m. Join the master gardeners for a free, self-guided tour of five gardens in the Barnum/Moose Lake/Kettle River area. The tour is open to the public. Maps will be available after Thursday, July 1, at the Carlton County Extension Office, 317 Chestnut Ave., Carlton; the Carlton County Master Gardener Facebook page, the Carlton County Extension website; and at each garden on the day of the tour. The gardens include the following: 3779 Main St., Barnum; 3801 S. Lake Road, Moose Lake; Moose Lake Community Garden, 4812 County Road 10, Moose Lake; 3030 Hwy 73, Kettle River; and 3929 Birch St, Kettle River. Attendees can view the gardens in any order they choose.

A Mindful Bicycle Ride, 9-11 a.m., Jay Cooke State Park. During a mindfulness-based nature observation bike ride, participants will pause at several locations along the trail to calm their minds, focus on their surroundings and learn about the flora and fauna they are peddling past. The ride is about 6 miles round trip on the Willard Munger State Trail. Attendees must bring their own bicycles and helmets. There is limited capacity and registration is required in advance. The Lost Forty music concert, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Jay Cooke State Park. People who wish to attend the concert should meet in front of the River Inn Interpretive Center. The Lost Forty crafts arrangements of rare old folk songs entwined with the history of Minnesota and the Great Lakes. Seating for the concert will be on the lawn. Those who attend are encouraged to bring a blanket or a chair. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move inside the picnic shelter at the River Inn Interpretive Center.
