Thursday, June 16

Story Stroll, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Veterans Memorial Park.

Snack Chat, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Cloquet Public Library. REACH sponsors the weekly event for kids. Participants will make a snack and chat with others while they eat.

Cloquet American Legion Auxiliary Burger and Coney Fundraiser, 4-7 p.m., Cloquet VFW, 210 Arch St. The fundraiser will be held in the Cloquet VFW parking lot. The cost is $10 for a burger with fries, $9 for a burger only, $7 for a coney with fries and $4 for fries. Dessert is included with the purchase of a burger or a coney. All proceeds will support the organization's local programs for veterans.

Carlton VFW Golf Scramble, Pine Hill Golf Course, Carlton. The 21st annual golf tournament will raise money for the post’s relief fund, with all proceeds benefiting veterans, families of veterans and members of the community who are in need.

Bell ringing ceremony, noon, Villa Vista, 1220 Villa Court Dr., Cromwell. There will be a bell ringing ceremony at noon followed by a picnic lunch at 1 p.m. for all in attendance. The event celebrates freedom and the Fourth of July a few days early. The public is invited to attend and are reminded to wear red, white and blue and to bring bells to ring.

11th Annual Kaleb Anderson Memorial Walk/Run, 7 a.m., Cromwell Park. A pancake breakfast will run from 7-10:30 a.m., with the 5K run/walk starting at 8:15 a.m. A balloon release will follow the completion of the 5K. The cost to register is $25 for adults, $15 for children 10 and under. All proceeds will go towards shade structures for the playground.
