Carlton native to compete on Jeopardy

Sam Kavanaugh is a five-time Jeopardy champion and currently works as a substitute teacher in Minneapolis.

Pick up the remote and tune in to Jeopardy's "Tournament of Champions" this week to watch Carlton native Sam Kavanaugh compete in "America's favorite quiz show."

Kavanaugh, a current Minneapolis-based substitute teacher, is a five-time Jeopardy champion who has previously won over $156,000 on the show.

He is now scheduled to compete in season 37's two-day finals on Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28, airing on NBC.

Following the competition, Kavanaugh plans to return to his Carlton roots this August to work as a counselor at Carlton Community Education's three-day "Flight and Outer Space" summer camp.
