The Boldt Company has been selected as the Construction Manager by the City of Cloquet to administer the City Hall and Police Department Renovation Project. Bidders shall be submitting a Best Value Bid. The bids will be evaluated using the Best Value Criteria included in the bid documents. Sealed bids will be received until 12:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2019, at The Boldt Company, 1001 Tall Pine Lane, Cloquet, MN 55720. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. At 12:00 PM bids will be transported and opened publicly at the City of Cloquet Office Building, 1307 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720. After being read aloud, Boldt and the City of Cloquet will privately evaluate bids via the Best Value Criteria. The final scores will be available from The Boldt Company the week after bids are due. The Project consists of renovating the former Member Cooperative Credit Union at 101 14th St, Cloquet, MN 55720 which will be the new City Hall and Police Department Headquarters. Construction includes remodeling the interior and building a new parking garage addition. Work includes associated demolition, civil, architectural, roofing, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction. A prebid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 101 14th St, Cloquet, MN 55720. This Project will be using a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). The awarded Contractor(s) will be required to sign on to the Project Labor Agreement and perform their specified scope of work in accordance with the terms, language, and guidelines set-forth in the PLA. In addition, Prevailing Wage Rates, and Performance and Payment Bonds are applicable to this Project. The Owner reserves the right to reject a bid which is in any way incomplete, irregular, or to waive informalities or irregularities in the bid received. The Owner also reserves the right to reject a bid that is within the Owner's Judgment to be in the Owner’s best interest. The bid documents can also be examined at the following locations: Duluth Builders Exchange, Minnesota Builders Exchange, St. Cloud Builders Exchange, and MEDA Minority Contractors Plan Room. Bidding documents will be available on January 21, 2019.
