Duluth-based Allete Inc. reports lower first-quarter earnings
Allete Inc. today reported a softer first quarter than last year. During the first three months of this year, the Duluth-based parent company of Minnesota Power earned $16.9 million -- about 28 percent less than it did during the same period in 2008.
