ST. PAUL - Dave Manderfeld is joining business leaders from across the state in an exclusive program addressing the economic and public policy issues of Minnesota businesses. He is specialty department manager at USG Interiors Inc. in Cloquet.
Leadership Minnesota, a program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, serves to enhance the understanding of the state's economy and the role of public policy for Minnesota's business leaders. Participants include mid- to high-level managers, presidents and business owners from diverse business sectors across Minnesota.
Participants will travel the state for five, two-day sessions during which they will be exposed to a range of businesses that drive Minnesota's economy. They also will have the opportunity to talk with the state's business and political leaders and obtain an inside view on Minnesota's key industries and the policy issues that will shape the state's future. The program kicked off Sept. 17-18 in Owatonna, Minn.
"This program allows participants to see the distinct challenges each industry faces. Business leaders leave with information that will help better position them in this everchanging economy," said Tess Hohman of General Mills in Minneapolis and chair of Leadership Minnesota. "It also offers attendees great access to key policy-makers and highlights the importance of sound relationships between business leaders and Minnesota's government."
