Spectrum Farm Strawberries in Carlton is open for the season. It will offer times to pick berries next week and possibly the following week, according to Carlton's Edward Schulstrom, whose family owns the farm.

Schulstrom said they are selling the berries at $2.50 per pound. He encourages pickers to bring their own pails. The farm also has cardboard flats available for $1 apiece.

Picking usually starts at 9 a.m. It is best to arrive early because once the ripe berries are gone, they close the fields for the day.
