The owners of Cardinal Court/Villa Vista held a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast at the facility May 19. They thanked everyone for the volunteering that has been happening on a regular basis for all they do to make the residents' lives much better. Everyone left with a lovely plant to help remind them of the thanks they received.
Rozzie Dahlman Obando writes: "I want to get ahead of Mother's Day to say how proud I am of my mom, Linda Dahlman, for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from MASBO for her excellent work in school finance as business manager in Moose Lake. You have always been a great role model for me, mom. You have taught me so much, are always there for me and I can only hope to be like you (when I grow up)!" Linda has been a school financial secretary at the Cromwell-Wright School, the Wrenshall School and for the past years at Moose Lake school. She did a fantastic job keeping the financial records of these schools in order.

The Cromwell Area Community Club welcomes contributions to the annual arts and culture silent auction for the June 23 steak fry.
It is so great to see Mike Olson back home and up and about. He underwent heart and kidney transplants and has had a lengthy recovery. He also wants to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged him in the past months for all their gifts of money, cards, prayers and good wishes. We are so glad to have Mike back in the area.
Yoga will be held Mondays from 11 a.m. to noon at the Cromwell Pavilion on April 24, May 1 and May 30. The Cromwell Area Senior YOT Dance will be held from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Cromwell Pavilion with the Chmielewski Funtime Band. All senior dances are on the fourth Thursday of the month. Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell will hold their Annual Rummage and Bake Sale April 28 from 4-7 p.m. and April 29 from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations are welcome. Proceeds help send youth to Bible Camp this summer.
The Cromwell Area Young Old Timers (YOT) will meet at noon Tuesday at the Pavilion in Cromwell for their annual Easter potluck dinner and meeting. New members are always welcome to attend.
Our sympathy to the family of Raymond Ernest Mowers, 84, of Cromwell who died March 18. His memorial service was March 25 at Bethany Lutheran Church. The Cromwell-Wright Dollars for Scholars' fourth annual fundraiser dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Cromwell pavilion, featuring pork tenderloin and all the fixings. Adults are $15 and students 10 and under are $7.
