Thought I’d end this column with some real unusual or funny names of lakes. Here’s the first one: That’s all the news from Lake Chaubunagungamaug. This real lake is located in Webster, Mass., near the Connecticut border, and sometimes goes by “Webster Lake.”
Keep your seat warm! Don't sit on the cold bleachers at the next football game — heavy duty canvas and metal stadium seats are for sale from the Junior class. These seats are black with “Cromwell-Wright Cardinals” embroidered on them. They will be great for the upcoming basketball season also. Cost is $45.

What do the Minnesota Vikings and the Cromwell-Wright Cardinals football teams have in common? They are both undefeated. Sure has been fun following these teams this fall — it almost makes the coming winter seem bearable.
There are only four weeks left before the Presidential election. It will be interesting how much worse these campaigns get, but don’t get caught up in all the mud slinging. However, there are lots of other folks running for election who also need our support. Check out the area newspapers for a copy of the upcoming ballot. We vote by mail, but for those of you who have to go to the polls, it’s good to have an idea who’s running for what office.
