But we are so blessed to have so many family gathered together on the hallowed ground where so much of our love of the land and life started back in 1916. The Dahlman family farm in rural Cromwell will be 100 years old in 2018. And since John Dahlman still owns land there, we consider it in the family for these past 98 years.
Now don’t forget the Carlton County Fair will be held this year Aug. 18-21. I am in need of volunteers to help out for a couple of hours at the Little Red School House. Please call me if you can help at 218-357-2385. Here’s some news from Dianne Knoben, executive director of Tri-Community Food Shelf: Tri-Community Food Shelf will gladly accept donations of fresh produce from local gardeners if they have extras they'd like to share. Donations should be dropped off Fridays from 2:30-3 p.m. at the site (intersection of Highways 210 and 73 in Cromwell) so we may pass them out to others when they are still at their peak of freshness. Please don't just drop the items off when no one is there, as we like to thank those who chose to donate, thanks much.
