Spring burning restrictions underway
During spring restrictions, the state will not give out burning permits for burning brush or yard waste. Debris burning is especially dangerous in April and May when most wildfires occur in Minnesota.

Volunteers, multiple agencies help find missing child
The Carlton County Sheriff's Office reported it received a call at 3:30 p.m. Friday for a missing 6-year-old child who was last seen an hour earlier near a wood line on the family's property on South Finn Road in Lakeview Township, south of Wright.
