The Minnesota Wilderness hosted a free "Skate with the Wilderness" event Monday evening at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet. They have scheduled a second "Skate with the Wilderness" from 5-7 Thursday, Sept. 12. Kids who come -- and bring their own skates and helmets -- will get season tickets to the Wilderness. The junior hockey team has an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Friday against the Minnesota Magicians; admission is $3 or free with a non-perishable food item to donated to a local food shelf. The Wilderness will play their first official home game Sept. 20.
