To the Editor:
People need to stand up to both the Carlton and Wrenshall school boards and tell them they are not thinking of the kids enough. The school boards are just thinking of themselves and mostly the power and pride that goes with it all, instead of what the kids really need and want.
The people should insist on a vote, even if we have to start a petition to the government, so we can help decide what the kids want and need. Why can't there be one big elementary school in one town and a big secondary school in the other one, and make both of them quality educational buildings? Either way it would get what the kids want and need. The kids deserve this, not the school board members. So people, it is time to take the bull by the horns and do whatever it takes to let the us be heard and put this to rest once and for all.
As far as consolidating with Cloquet, the schools are too small and have limited capacity.
So the people of the Carlton and Wrenshall school districts, please stand up for your kids.
