I just returned from a wonderful 10-day trip to Texas with ChmieBell Tours. We left Thursday, Oct. 19, and arrived in the Dallas area Saturday, Oct. 21.
While there, we took a city tour with a step-on guide and toured the Kennedy assassination site and museum, then to Fort Worth for a few hours at the stockyards. We toured the Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum in Austin. From there, we went to San Antonio where we went to a mission, SAS Shoe Company and, of course, the river walk and all the Alamo buildings and information.
As we headed back north, we stopped at the George W. Bush Library and Museum and the Alfred P. Murrah bombsight memorial in Oklahoma City, Okla.
All in all, it a was a great trip with great folks and even met some really nice new friends. Also attending from this area were Ray and Lindsay Lally and Barb Dahl.
Keenan Dahl, son of Allen and Liz Dahl, grandson of Barb Dahl and Annabelle Genereau, was recently chosen to perform at the University of Minnesota Duluth at the Honor Band Music Festival. Only the top honor band students from across the state were chosen to perform. Keenan was also chosen first chair for the trombones.
Tim and Barb Dahl and family want to thank everyone for attending the open house organized in recognition of their 2017 Carlton County Farm Family of the Year award. They really appreciated all the folks who came and wished them well.
