Howie Liebeck, 63, of Cloquet, died Sept. 8, 2017 in his home with his caregivers of Pine Ridge Homes by his side. He was born July 2, 1954 to Maurice and Barbara (Poferl) Liebeck in Duluth, MN. He was longtime resident of Pine Ridge where he made his home with his caregivers and companions.
Howie had a passion for horses, country music, cowboy hats, playing his guitars, watching cowboy shows, All-Star Wrestling and his show - The Dukes of Hazzard. He enjoyed his vacations with his Pine Ridge family. He truly enjoyed participating in Special Olympics. He always looked forward to spending time with his favorite aunt, Annabelle. Howie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Howie was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debra Liebeck. He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Jack) Wier, Pauline Miller, and Pamela Sowirkai; brothers, Ronald and Terry Liebeck; step-brother, Earl Poferl; and special aunt, Annabelle Schul.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Nelson Funeral Care from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service in the chapel. A luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Room. Memorials are preferred to either Pine Ridge Homes, 1509 14th St., Cloquet, MN 55720 or Pinewood-Cloquet, 915 18th St, Cloquet, MN 55720.
