Cloquet police chief placed on leave

BETTY ANN (LECKINGTON) LEHNER

Betty Ann (Leckington) Lehner

Betty Ann Lehner, 79, of Cloquet, Minn., went to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at Golden Oaks in Hermantown, Minn. Betty was born Aug. 7, 1937 in Cloquet to Henry and Millie (Moen) Leckington. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1955. Following high school, Betty took a job at Wood Conversion in Cloquet; it was there that she met the love of her life, Donald (Don) Joseph Lehner, and they were married June 29, 1957. They shared a remarkable married life of nearly 60 years, were an example of what love was to others, and resided in Cloquet.

Betty loved the Lord and she served Him faithfully her entire life. She treasured time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed road trips out west, Sunday drives, the great outdoors, agate picking, collecting and making maple syrup, playing cards, puzzling, arts and crafts, and of course, a good rummage sale. Betty was patient and kind, graceful and God-fearing. She always made time for those she dearly loved and made us all feel cherished.

Betty has been welcomed to Heaven by her beloved son, Richard, and many family members and friends.

Visitation: Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. until the noon Celebration of Life at Good Hope Church, 55 Armory Road, Cloquet.

Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Care, Cloquet.

February 16, 2017 ~ Pine Journal, Cloquet, Minn.
