The Carlton County Board of Commissioners met for its regular meeting Tuesday morning.
Board members made a few minor changes to the agenda, then it was approved, as were the minutes of the August meeting.
The meeting flew by quickly with the awarding of Food Waste Collection and Transportation to Waste Management and a few minor approvals by commissioners for other matters.
There was a short discussion about the jail study after a commissioner inquired how it was progressing. County Coordinator Dennis Genereau said the study is nearing completion and should be presented to the board soon.
The meeting then closed for a union negotiation, ending the regular session after 15 minutes.
The next County Board meeting will be 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at the Carlton County Transportation Building in Carlton.
