FDLTCC among All-Conference Academic Selections

The Thunder Athletics Department at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College has announced that 14 Thunder student athletes attending the college during the 2013 fall semester earned the Minnesota College Athletic Conference ((MCAC) Academic Award.

Student athletes receive MCAC academic recognition if they have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better at the end of the semester in which the majority of their sport season occurs, and completed a minimum of 12 credits during that semester. The conference released the award recipient list on March 21.

The following Thunder student athletes received the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Academic Award for Fall Semester 2013:

Volleyball — MaKayleigh Cahoon of Tamarack, Minn. (Cromwell-Wright High School)

Football — Trevor Caswell of Tomah, Wis.; Christopher Collins of Two Harbors, Minn.; David Cooper, Deandre Jourdain and Samuel Merrell, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; Terrell Deloach of Champaign, Ill.; Jeremy Gardner of Baton Rouge, La.; Nicholas Rusch-Maier and Eli Smith, both of of Green Bay, Wis.; Nathaniel Smith of Hermantown; Cameron Stanley of Superior; Rashod Thomas of Cairo, Ga.; and Viquesi Timothe of Miami, Fla.
