Residents invited to public hearing on water line, treatment
Residents of the Carlton area are encouraged to attend public hearings next week regarding a proposed water treatment plant and the proposed Highway 210 water line. The hearings are informational, and required by rural development to give residents an opportunity to discuss the information, including environmental and economic impacts of the proposed projects.
The water treatment plant hearing starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Carlton County Transportation Building at 1630 County Road 61. All residents within the city of Carlton limits are invited. The Highway 210 water line public hearing starts at 7 p.m. that night at the same place and will impact all businesses along Highway 210, along with residents living in the Olsonville area and Schmitz Road. Donahue and Associates engineering company will present the information.
