Enjoy local food for a good cause next week
What could be better than eating for a good cause?
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College will hold its fifth-annual Food for Thought tasting event from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18. Approximately 17 area businesses will provide samples of their “signature” food and beverage specialities, including Carmen’s, Duluth Grill, Magnolia Cafe, Family Tradition, NE BBQ Smokehouse, Trapper Pete’s, the Warming House and other Carlton County and Duluth restaurants. Proceeds support academic scholarships.
Cost for tickets is $25 in advance (from Reliable Insurance or FDLTCC) or $30 at the door that evening.
There will also be a Wall of Wine and a silent auction, including overnight stays at Fitger’s in Duluth or the Oldenburg House B&B in Carlton, along with art, food and other goodies. Enter the raffle for $1,000 cash prize.
