Lake Country Power’s Grand Rapids and Kettle River service areas hit by fast moving storm

Grand Rapids, MN – Thursday morning’s fast moving thunderstorm affected electric service for more than 1,200 Lake Country Power members. Since early morning, crews have repaired service for more than 570 members. Those affected are primarily in the cooperative’s Grand Rapids and Kettle River service areas.

Lake Country Power line crews will be working today to restore service. Two LCP line crews from Mountain Iron are assisting crews in the Grand Rapids area where most outages exist.

The cooperative is reporting trees on lines and downed power lines.
