HEALTHY LIVING: Bridal Bootcamp
Brides look for the right dress, hair style, makeup and flowers for their wedding day, and now a local health club is introductions a customized program of exercise, nutrition and/or weight-loss to prepare their bodies to look their best for their big day.
PhyEd Health Club in Superior calls it The Big Day Package. Whatever the bride's goal, the staff will help her achieve it, often in six to 12 weeks, says Monica Mollen, fitness specialist at the health club.
"It's not a cookie-cutter approach," she says.
One woman might want to lose weight and another might want to tone her arms so they look good in her wedding gown. Participants will be given a daily journal to record their exercise and what they eat, have body fat measured and photos taken every week, says Gina Amatuzio, who co-owns the health club with her husband, Alan.
The program involves two or three days a week of personal training, with full access to the upscale 7,500-square-foot facilities.
Big Day Package pricing depends on the length of time and services to help the bride meet her goal. It's not necessary to be a member of PhyEd to buy the package. Call (715) 394-4400 for details.
