Wrestlers make school history with team Section 7AA win
In the Section 7AA team preliminaries at Cloquet High School Tuesday evening, fifth-seeded Cloquet-Esko upset fourth-seeded Virginia Area 41-36. The team victory was the second of the season for the Lumberjacks, and the first time the six-year-old varsity program had advanced in school history.

Youth wrestling program continues to grow
John Elias fondly remembers the days 15 years ago when the Cloquet Area Youth Wrestling Association (CAYWA) began with about a dozen kids. They practiced in a locker room with mats spread wall to wall, at an old car dealership, and even the hockey shelter without heat.
Saturday marked how far things have come since then.
