A grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) will create over 200 jobs and generate over $4.3 million in new private investment in northeast Minnesota, Congressman Jim Oberstar announced.
From working as a union leader negotiating contracts for carpenters on the Iron Range, to serving as chair of the Senate Tax Committee, my life has been dedicated to putting people to work. Building and installing wind generators and solar panels, replacing inefficient windows and lighting and insulating homes are among the fastest-growing sectors of the U.S. economy according to a report by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
