More than 70 family medicine clinics through the state of Minnesota met the health care worker “flu vaccination challenged” posed by the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) at the start of the influenza season.
Minnesota’s H1N1 flu outbreak continues to ease, but state health officials warn that another wave may be on the way.
“We may be down in terms of influenza activity,” State Epidemiologist Dr. Ruth Lynfield said Wednesday.

Last Thursday, parents of Esko school children received a communication through the district’s “instant alert” system, informing them that three families in the district have reported children who are “likely to have the H1N1 virus,” according to Superintendent Aaron Fischer.
