CARLTON – The girlfriend of the man who shot a Cromwell couple to death at their home after robbing them was sentenced to 23 years in prison Friday for her role in the crime.

Sarprio B.B. Doranti, 50, pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree assault in Carlton County Court on Wednesday. A number of other charges pending against Doranti, including indecent exposure, inciting a riot and terroristic threats, were dismissed.
The Cloquet man accused of kidnapping his 7-year-old son and stabbing himself when law enforcement officers rescued the boy was arraigned last Thursday morning on charges of kidnapping and deprivation of custodial or parental rights.
