Cloquet in-home child care provider Heather Falk said Gov. Mark Dayton has “opened Pandora’s box” with his announcement Tuesday that he will order a vote by the state’s subsidized child care providers on whether they want a union representing them.

Council to hold public hearing on future landfills in Cloquet 
On Nov. 8, the members of the Cloquet Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the city council adopt a landfill report done by city staff and planning commission members as well as approve a resolution amending the municipal code that would prohibit any new landfills or future landfill expansion within city limits.

American Heart Association seeks applicants for the Go Red For Women Makeover Challenge
The American Heart Association announces it is seeking applicants for its third Go Red For Women Makeover Challenge. As part of the Eighth Annual Northland Go Red for Women Luncheon, eight women will be selected to participate in the makeover challenge presented by Essentia Health and Super One Foods.
