Small town individuals compete well on the state’s biggest stage
Esko wasn’t the only Carlton County town represented at the state track and field meet last weekend. Other Northlanders were there, too.
Half a dozen individuals competed well at Hamline University in St. Paul Friday and Saturday, as the northern part of the state was well-
represented in the lanes, pits and field events amongst the state’s most select company.

Esko caps off memorable track season
Friday and Saturday, the Esko girls competed in the Class A Minnesota track and field state meet in St. Paul where they finished seventh out of 76 participating teams – Esko’s highest finish since they won the state crown back in 1995.

Meeting at Esko’s Lincoln High School at 6 a.m., the Eskomos were poised and ready to catch the bus to Stillwater, Minn., for the championships.
