Edward "Ed" Lawrence Stayton, 87, formerly of Cromwell, Minn., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Santa Clara, Calif., to Clarence and Edith (Ridgeway) Stayton. Ed was a World War II Navy veteran, serving from 1944 to 1946. Ed was united in marriage to Carroll McLellan on June 11, 1955, in San Jose, Calif. Ed enjoyed music, creative writing/poetry, drawing, antique automobiles and gardening.

You enter the job with open arms and an open heart, trusting the child you’ve been entrusted with will learn, grow and love under your humble tutelage.
