Forest Stillwell
Forest Stillwell, known as “Cuds” and “Rev. Ply,” 79, of Carlton, Minn., died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minn. He was born Jan. 2, 1934, in Cloquet, Minn., the son of Forest and Evie Stillwell. Forest was a 1954 graduate of Cloquet High School and later served in the U.S. Air Force. As a child he was a member of Boy Scouts and attended many camps and activities. On June 11, 1966, Forest married Ingeborg Hertel. Forest was the owner/operator of the Kings and Queens Salon at the Greysolon in Duluth, but when he wasn’t working he loved to be outside working on his many rock and flower gardens. One of Forest's greatest passions was restoring old Mopar cars, and that passion followed through as he detailed cars at Carlton Motorwerks for many years. Forest loved spending time with his family at the cabin, going on long car trips all over the country, and eating out, especially at a good German restaurant.
