In a courtroom populated by mostly media and court personnel, Carlton County Attorney Thom Pertler filed charges Thursday against four people related to the slaying of a 25-year-old Floodwood woman. Although one of the alleged killers is a juvenile, the county intends to prosecute him as an adult.

Cody Logan Fohrenkam, 20, of Cloquet has been charged with first-degree arson, third-degree criminal damage to property and obstructing the legal process in relation to a fire he allegedly set on Sunday in Cloquet. Fohrenkam appeared in Carlton County Court on Tuesday before Judge Dale Wolf, who set bail at $50,000 bond or $5,000 cash.
