Faye Elaine McMillen
Faye Elaine McMillen, 83, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn. She was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Drayton, N.D., to William and Nannie (Bjerk) Johnson. Faye worked as a beautician and also as a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Carl Anderson American Legion Auxiliary, the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary, and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church. Faye enjoyed playing cribbage, smear, and bingo.

Liberian refugee finds a home in Cloquet, thanks to FDLTCC
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College graduate Reginnah Weah overcame many obstacles to get to Thursday, May 17, the day she graduated with a degree as a registered nurse. Weah said she will always consider FDLTCC and Cloquet her home.

Alleged assault occurs at location of former skate park

Cromwell-Wright students headed for state Envirothon
The Cromwell-Wright Envirothon teams participated in the Area Envirothon on May 7 at the Cloquet Forestry Center. The teams did very well, and the school’s first- and third- place teams will go on to the state competition on May 21 in Savage, Minn.
