Ellen K. Parks, 91, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Monday, May 28, 2012, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. She was born April 10, 1921, in Oulu, Finland, to Eino and Selma (Koistenen) Korkala and was a Cloquet resident since 1939. Ellen was a longtime member of the Cloquet Presbyterian Church, and also the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979 Auxiliary. She loved gardening, snowmobiling, going to the cabin at Lake Saganaga, "Big Sag," and teaching ceramics in her home.

Esko finished with 465.5 overall points, nearly 40 ahead of Blue Earth as distant runner-up at 426. Longtime Eskomos girls Coach Tim Lindquist said that convincing victory was nice to see, crediting all involved.
